What to expect

Whether you have attended church your whole life or never stepped foot in one before, we know it's not easy visiting a church for the first time. You are not quite sure what to expect, and you probably have a lot of questions. What does a weekend service look like? How should I dress? Is there a certain place I should sit? Where would my kids go? We would like to make your visit as simple as possible.

Where do I take my children?

Starting with excellent nurseries, there is something special for every age child. At every service there are safe, clean, and highly staffed nurseries for children three years old and under. For the infants, mothers will receive a pager so that the nursery attendants can easily contact you if there is a need. For children four years old through sixth grade there are fun, friendly, and Bible-centered classes. These classes are staffed with trained, friendly, and well-qualified teachers and helpers who will make church exciting and memorable for your child.

Our property has several buildings, which to a guest can seem overwhelming at first. Our greeters and ushers are located around campus as well as in the lobby of the main worship center and will gladly help direct and even escort you to the right place.

What about my teens?

Our student ministries are broken down into three main divisions: junior high, high school, and College & Career. Within each of these divisions, there are separate classes. Most of the teens attend a class for one hour and then a worship service another hour with their parents.

How should I dress?

There is certainly no ‘dress code’ here at our church. You will notice that our leaders and many of our church families will be dressed in what most would call ‘traditional Sunday best’, but our desire is for our guests to feel welcome and comfortable when they visit.

Am I expected to participate in the offering?

The last thing we want is for our guests to feel pressured about the offering! Our desire is to serve our guests, and to provide a place where folks can come and grow in God’s grace and give attention to His Word. As our guest, please don’t feel any pressure or obligation about the offering.

How do I get involved in a ministry?

We love to have guests come to our church that have a desire to get involved! The list of ministries to choose from is a long one, and we are always seeking to add volunteers to contribute. When you make your first visit, we would be happy to give you a guest packet and give you basic information on our ministries and how you can join a ministry team.

Could I get a ride?

Transportation is something our church has provided for well over a decade! Our church buses run on several different routes, all over the county. Simply contact us to inquire about having us stop by to pick you up for a service. It would be our pleasure, and if we can make it happen, we will!

Where should I sit?

First-time guests seem to feel most comfortable finding a seat somewhere in the middle to the back of the auditorium. Don’t stress over a seat, our ushers are well trained and would be happy to assist you in finding the perfect seat.
